Dear Colleagues,

You are cordially invited to participate in the 11th European Workshop on Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics of Solid Tumours (11th EWCMGST) to be held in Bilbao, Spain, from September 6th to 9th, 2008.

Since 1989 this meeting has been celebrated biannually in different European cities and the aim of this workshop is to bring together cytogeneticists and molecular geneticists interested in the study of solid tumours. The interdisciplinary character of the workshop provides the opportunity for professionals to present and learn about different aspects of cancer genetics.

The scientific program includes plenary lectures, proffered papers and poster sessions. A major effort will be made to ensure and to facilitate the participation of students and delegates. The meeting will feature plenary lecture speakers who are recognized experts in cancer research. These plenary lectures will form the scientific backdrop for the meeting, and will set the stage for a series of sessions conducted by research experts.

The venue this time will be Bilbao, the most vibrant city of the Basque Country at the Golf of Biscay. It is the home of people from all over the world, which offers a variety of leisure options and many restaurants to enjoy our well known cuisine.
